Angels for Brazil would like to take this opportunity to recognize all of our generous contributors, including nine-year-old "Luke," our youngest philanthropist in the USA. When he was in third grade, Luke's class studied Brazil. After seeing a picture of children at school, sitting on the ground in dirty clothes with only one book to share, Luke decided that he wanted to do something to improve their educational environment.

 

Luke started a bottle drive and raised $50. Next, he contacted other family members and asked them to contribute as well. Luke's family foundation matched the donations, bringing the grand total to $850!  This money was given to San Rafael, a school located in the rural regions of Brazil, to purchase classroom supplies.
